State of Play

In a dark night in the city of Washington D.C, a calm stroll is disturbed by a young man running from something following him. As he tries to get away, knocking everything in his way finally comes to a dump site and tries to catch his breath and see if he had lost his follower. As he approaches for a closer look he is met with gun fire. He lays dead a cyclist passes by seeing the murderer and tries to pedal faster but is shot in the spine and head.People try to get a peak of the disturbance from the commotion.

Next morning a young woman gets ready for work. As she leaves for work someone follows her closely. As she gets to the subway the train approaches , a deep silence......... (then nothing)

In a congressional hearing, congressman Stephen Collins (Ben Affleck) calls for order. As he starts speaking he explain that his leading research assistant Sonia Baker (Maria Theyer) had died at the subway, a possible suicide.

State of Play is about an investigation of the death of a congressional aid and a big corporation trying to monopolize the defence department.
This movie is well act by Russell Crow, Ben Affleck and Rachel MC Adams it will leave you guessing until the end.
